We strongly recommend our Introduction course prior to attending this workshop.
Adolescents and children often find emotions difficult to verbalise, particularly the overwhelming range of feelings they experience following a bereavement. Sharing practical activities can enable you to build a rapport with them and provide creative ways to express themselves so they can access the emotional support they so badly need. This experiential workshop introduces some tried and tested activities designed to release the feelings associated with grief and loss.
This course aims to
- Explore different activities that can be useful with bereaved young people
- Allow you to experience these yourself to aid empathy and confidence
- Build confidence in dealing with the emotions that arise from them.
Who should attend?
Anyone working with young people in social care, health and education including youth workers, clergy, emergency services, funeral directors and counsellors.
