We’ve had a Ball and the figures are in!

We’ve had a Ball and the figures are in! An incredible £3300 was raised by 70 guests who attended the event in support of Jigsaw South East.  Based in East Grinstead we are proud to support children and young people facing the death of a loved one across Surrey, parts of East and West Sussex and West Kent.

Thank you event sponsors

The event was made possible by the kind sponsorship of The Star Inn, Lingfield. It was wonderful that Simon, Marta and eight of the team from the pub were able to relax and experience the evening.

Dressed to impress, guests were welcomed by a glass of bubbles sponsored by CooperBurnett, followed by a delicious three-course meal prepared by hotel’s award-winning chefs. The tables were adorned with fresh flower centrepieces kindly provided by the team at Coolings Garden Centre, who also provided the AV equipment for the evening.

Film Premiere

Chair of Trustees, Dr Cecilia Hughes spoke about the unique service we offer to families and its importance to the local community before the screening of our new short film. Our guests were privileged to watch the launch of our Charity Film created by Big Picture Charity Films which showcases the experiences of two wonderful young people, Caitlin and Reece.  We were honoured to have East Grinstead Mayor, Frazer Visser with us at the Ball and he said:

That film was incredible, it encapsulates everything Jigsaw stands for, it was humbling.  To have this service locally, and to see the work you are doing in our community makes me so proud, thank you.

Live Auction

There was great excitement throughout the live auction hosted by our Trustee, Gary Andrews where guests vied to win a range of prizes. The dance floor was packed as everyone pulled out their moves and got down to the live music provided by the energetic band, Into the Blue.  Harlequine Photography kindly donated their time and photography skills to take wonderful photos as a memento of the evening.

The event was organised by our Fundraising Manager, Sally Ross who said:

The night was great fun and an incredible success. We thank all of our guests, sponsors and local businesses who provided raffle and auction prizes.  The money raised will enable us to continue providing the support services we offer for children and young people across the South East.
