Every 40 seconds someone dies by suicide. Today, 10th September, is World Suicide Prevention Day. As we adapt to a world altered by COVID-19, levels of isolation, distress and anxiety increase. Connections with others are vital in ensuring all individuals mental health and wellbeing. Jigsaw (South East) supports children and young people whose lives have been impacted by suicide.
Take time to raise awareness, increase knowledge, debunk myths and stigma, and reach out to someone who may be struggling. Because suicide is preventable.
The campaign is a joint collaboration between the World Health Organisation, the World Federation for Mental Health and the International Association for Suicide Prevention.
