Hever Golfers Above Par Fundraising For Jigsaw (South East)

Despite torrential rain closing two holes, 36 hardy putters turned out at Hever Golf Club, determined not to let the weather dampen their fundraising spirits. The aim of the day was to raise as much money as possible for child bereavement charity Jigsaw (South East) and the intrepid golfers achieved a magnificent total of £1644.

Local sports stars who came out to support the charity included members of the Chiddingstone Badgers, the Rest of the World and the Notre Dambusters. Their generous contributions to the raffle, auction items and fines, all added up to a fun filled day for our good cause. The competition result was a tie which meant there had to be a putt off, which took place inside the venue, during dinner, amidst much merriment.

Nickey Price, Operations Manager at Jigsaw (South East), said: “It was a wonderful, if wet day. We thank Russell and Lorna Galbraith who were brilliant hosts and ensured that everything ran smoothly, and Hever Golf Club for looking after everyone so well.

“All the money raised makes a real difference to our small charity and enables us to continue our work supporting children, young people and their families who have experienced the devastating loss of a loved one.”
