‘Let’s Do It’ raise thousands for Jigsaw (South East)

A group of fundraising friends from West Sussex have donated a phenomenal £3124 to our child bereavement charity.
East Grinstead based Let’s Do It (LDI) began just three years ago when founders Bela and Gareth Morris decided to organise monthly challenges and activities to raise money for local charities.
Nicole Collingwood of LDI said: “We initially focussed on sporting challenges and the name ‘Let’s Do It’ was to encourage people to get off the sofa and get involved. However, the activities have become increasingly diverse and include sponsored walks, karaoke nights, a summer party, an Apprentice challenge and a ‘brutal’ triathlon!” Nicole added.
A core group of 26 friends take turns to plan events and everyone pays a fee to take part. More than 100 people attended LDI’s Christmas party, which was their largest fundraiser in 2019. The festive night included singing from the group VOX vocal harmonies, who gave their services for free.
This evening, along with other events across the year, raised vital funds for both Jigsaw (South East) and Sullivan’s Heroes, which works with disabled children.
Jigsaw (South East) Operations Manager, Nickey Price said:
“This is an amazing effort by local people for a charity in their community. We cannot thank Let’s Do It enough. Their generosity will help us to support children and young people through a devastating period in their lives.”
