Oh What a Night (At the Races!)

Oh What A Night (At The Races!)

The final figure is in and a fantastic £4500 was raised for Jigsaw (South East) at the Night at the Races fundraiser, which took place on Saturday evening at the Jubilee Centre in East Grinstead.

One hundred and twenty keen guests refused to allow the torrential rain to dampen their enthusiasm to support the child bereavement charity. Over eight races they selected horses to back in the tote, generously parting with their hard earned cash to help Jigsaw (South East), continue its vital work with young people across West Sussex and Surrey.

Local businesses came to the fore to ensure the success of the event. Serial Jigsaw (South East) fundraiser Doug Bewley, was the MC for the night and his business –  Unique Technical Solutions – the main sponsor. Harbour Fish and Chips generously provided the food for free. Mortgage broker Tim Dock sponsored the bar, Paul Boyce provided the race night equipment for free and Steven Price of 51 Degrees Design created the programme.

Thanks too to auction winners and race backers Oxted Window Systems who kindly put their spoils back into the fundraising pot.

We are so grateful to everyone who supported the event, to the companies who donated raffle prizes and the eight local businesses who sponsored races:

1. Lead Me To Luxury – Dog Grooming and Walking Services
2. Oxted Window Systems
3. Boot Camp At Tulleys
4. Sainsbury’s East Grinstead
5. Tim Dock Mortgages and Finance Planning
6. 51 Degrees Design
7. A.M Electrical Services
8. Bemoore Connected
