MEMORIAL RUGBY MATCH RAISES £5K for JSE

The 2019 Ben Campbell-Johnston Memorial Rugby Match fundraiser for Jigsaw (South East) and rugby’s Wooden Spoon Charity was a great success. The family day out with BBQ, music and a silent auction, featured a highly skilled fast-tempo game between the Chiddingstone Badgers RFC v Rest of World and a children’s touch rugby game. THANK YOU to Ben’s wife Kate and family, and the Badgers, for choosing to support our bereavement charity.

MARVELLOUS MOLLY’S MASSIVE HAIRCUT HELPS TWO CHARITIES

“My hair is very important to me, due to my late Dad’s love for it. He chose not to take a certain type of chemo because he was scared that I would not recognise him. So, the honour of donating my hair for someone else, who is going through something so physically and mentally draining was therapeutic for me.”

Those are the words of Jigsaw (South East) remarkable Young Ambassador, Molly Humphreys,18. By losing seven inches of hair the teenager has raised £100 for Jigsaw (South East). The East Grinstead based bereavement charity, has helped support Molly and her family since her Father Graham’s death.

The A Level student raised sponsorship for the cut and donated her shorn locks to the Little Princess Trust, which provides real hair wigs to children and young people with hair loss and helps fund vital research into childhood cancer.

For a teenage girl to give up something so precious and support two charities in one go, is wonderful. Molly we thank you.
