How to prepare your child for a bereavement – Information Evening – 28th April 2021
Talking to children about a family member who is unwell and not able to get better from an illness is never an easy task. Join our online information evening at 7.30 on Wednesday 28th April and find out how you can prepare your child for a bereavement from our dedicated Preparing for Loss team.
The information evening will explore:
- How to talk to your children
- Choosing the right words
- Age appropriate information
- Physical and emotional responses from children
- Making memories
- School support
- Family advice and support
Jigsaw (South East) offers grief support to children and young people who have experienced the death of a significant family member through illness, accident, suicide or murder. We also provide support to children and young people who have a family member with a life-limiting condition. The charity works throughout Surrey and surrounding areas.
