Autumn Grief Support Groups begin

The next sets of Grief Support Groups in Guildford and Reigate are about to begin.

Our six-week family Grief Support Groups (for young people aged 5-17) take place on one evening a week plus a Saturday.

We invite all family members to come along and take part in some gentle therapeutic activities (in separate adult, young people and children’s groups) that aim to open up communication around the person that has died, emotions and feelings and to provide coping strategies going forward. For children especially, it can be hugely beneficial to be with others who are in a similar situation as themselves.

Nickey Price, Operations Manager for Jigsaw (South East) said:

“We have been running the groups for many years and regularly seek feedback from all the attendees so that we can shape and improve the support as much as we can for future service users. For both the Guildford and Reigate groups, we have once again had to open a waiting list as, unfortunately, the demand is so high for this kind of bereavement support.”
