Charity Racenight Under Starter’s Orders

Local charity to put on a thrilling night of horseracing on the big screen – to help local children facing the death of a family member

Local bereavement charity Jigsaw (South East) will once again be running A Night at the Races to raise essential funds to support local bereaved children and those who are facing the death of a loved one through serious illness.

There will be eight races, with full tote facilities (minimum bet £1), a fish and chip supper plus a cash bar with all profits channelled directly into the charity’s work with families at the most difficult times of their lives.

Tickets are just £15 and can be booked by calling Jigsaw (South East) directly on 01342 313895 or via email to this address.

This year the charity is pleased to once again have the support of locally based company Unique Technical Solutions, which has kindly offered to sponsor the event for the second year running.

Sophie Bewley, Jigsaw (South East)’s fundraising coordinator, said:

“Last year everyone really got into the atmosphere and excitement of the night, cheering their horses on while catching up with friends over dinner and drinks. This year’s event is hoped to be bigger and better – book your tickets now!”

The event takes place at 7pm on Saturday 13th October 2018 at the Jubilee Centre in East Grinstead.

And there are some fantastic raffle prizes up for grabs including:

  • £50 Sainsury’s voucher
  • £60 Retreatery voucher
  • Family tickets to Aladdin panto at the Hawth
  • 4 x Premier Lingfield Park Races tickets…
  • Many more….

Based at East Court Mansion in East Grinstead since 2006, the charity offers support to children and young people who have a family member with a serious, life-limiting condition. It also provides grief support to children and young people who have experienced the death of a significant family member through illness, accident, suicide or murder (through groups in Reigate and Guildford and East Grinstead).
