Why leave a gift to Jigsaw South East in your Will?

Jigsaw South East supports children and young people who have experienced bereavement or who are facing the death of a significant family member such as a parent or sibling.

We help children and their families through a traumatic experience which can impact, not only their immediate lives, but also their future. Our dedicated and structured support helps children and young people to understand and deal with the range of emotions they feel as they cope with their bereavement and communicate about the person they have lost.

Bereaved children and young people are at a higher risk of loneliness, mental health issues and disengagement from education. We help to reduce isolation, improve self-confidence and resilience, and provide coping strategies to help children and young people move forward with their lives.

Jigsaw South East is an independent charity working in the heart of its community. We rely on grants and donations and receive no statutory funding. We work to the highest possible standards with an experienced Board of Trustees and Management Team, robust safeguarding procedures and we believe in integrity in all we do.

The impact of our service is much wider, we provide support via our daily Helpline, and our training for a wide range of teaching and NHS professionals to enable them to better support bereaved and soon-to-be bereaved children.

Chair of Trustees, Dr Cecilia Hughes explains why she made kind-hearted decision to leave a gift to Jigsaw South East in her will.
