In 1998, I resigned from my post as a corporate finance manager, in the City of London, in order to study for a master’s degree in charity finance. Upon graduation I completed three projects for the HM Prison service and the Youth Justice Board. These concerned young peoples’ welfare, substance misuse and resettlement after release. In 2007, I joined the Archway Project (a children’s charity in south east London) as CEO. With local government cutbacks, a necessary part of my role became fundraising.
After over ten years in post, I acknowledged that a twice daily commute around the M25 was not the best way to start and end the working day. I joined Jigsaw in November 2019, in order to help with their fundraising effort.
