I joined Jigsaw South East in 2025 and I am delighted to be part of this charity. I have always carried a deep, steady calling to support children whose lives have been shaped by difficult experiences. My career began as an English teacher and counsellor for teenagers, before taking a few unexpected but valuable turns as a PA and Office Manager. However, the quiet pull to work with children never left me and I found myself back in education as a primary school class TA and ELSA. In 2020, I followed that calling more fully and enrolled in a Masters programme and trained as a Child-Centred Play Therapist and now work in primary schools.
I’m deeply committed to offering children a compassionate space to feel safe, accepted and truly listened to as they begin to find their own voice and give meaning to their thoughts, feelings and experiences. The journey of grief, with all its layers and complexities, carries deep personal and professional meaning for me and I feel both humbled and privileged to walk alongside children, young people and their families as they navigate their experiences.
In my spare time, I enjoy cooking delicious food, walking, being creative, spending time outdoors – trees, the sea and animals are my favourite things – and being with my family. You will also find me reading and drinking a good cup of tea!
