NEW Woking Training Date

Due to the high demand and the success of our previous bereavement training Jigsaw (South East) will be repeating a half day training course. This course is suited to professionals who work across healthcare, social care and education.

The training will be facilitated by CAMHS Clinical Nurse Specialist Pip Smith and Jigsaw (South East) Operations Manager Nickey Price.

An ‘Introduction to Working with Bereaved Children and Young People’ – takes place at 12:30 to 5:00pm on Monday 20th May 2013 at The Lightbox, Chobham Road Woking, Surrey, GU21 4AA.

Delegates who attended the session held in March said:

“If you work with children you need to know this. It will help [professionals] understand them and relate to their needs”

“Very informative, well researched and well presented”

“Crucial to understand the psychology and impact of trauma, before being able to support effectively”

93% of attendants would recommend the training to a friend or colleague.

The course, which costs £45 per person, includes light refreshments, necessary course handouts and a certificate of attendance. This course aims to increase attendees’ knowledge of bereavement and child development theory; increase their confidence in talking and listening to bereaved children and young people as well as increase their understanding of how to relate to bereaved children and young people.
